Converse Psychiatry provides comprehensive psychiatric services to patients throughout Florida, including care for ADHD, anxiety disorders, depression, insomnia, psychosis, bipolar disorder, substance use disorders, and schizophrenia. We offer telehealth appointments throughout Florida and in-person visits at our North Port, Florida office.

Treatment is individualized and may include psychiatric evaluation, psychotherapy, medication management, and ongoing support. Medications are prescribed only when clinically appropriate following an evaluation by a licensed healthcare provider. Scheduling an appointment does not guarantee that a medication or controlled substance will be prescribed.

Does Converse Psychiatry offer telehealth and in-person appointments?

Yes. Converse Psychiatry offers both telehealth and in-person appointments. Telehealth connects you with our providers through a secure video platform from anywhere in Florida. We also see patients in person at our office located at 14224 S Tamiami Trl, Suite 202, North Port, FL 34287.  Whether you choose telehealth or in-person care, you will receive the same personalized assessments, medication management, and treatment planning.

Do I need a referral to schedule an appointment, and what should I expect at my first visit?

No referral is needed to schedule an appointment with Converse Psychiatry. At your first visit, your provider will conduct a comprehensive mental health assessment to understand your symptoms, medical history, and treatment goals. From there, they will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, therapy recommendations, and ongoing monitoring. Converse Psychiatry also offers a free 15-minute consultation so you can ask questions before committing to care.

Does Converse Psychiatry accept insurance, and what are the costs for treatment?

Yes, Converse Psychiatry accepts several major insurance plans. For patients without insurance or who prefer self-pay, initial psychiatric evaluations are $200 and standard follow-up visits are $100. We believe mental health care should be accessible, so we encourage you to contact our office to verify your specific insurance coverage and discuss payment options.
